New Players

• After registration on www.relegationfantasy.com, new players will receive an email with a link to their league assignment. They will be prompted to join the Sleeper League and download the Sleeper app if they have not already.
• League assignment will be on a first come first serve basis. The earlier that you sign up, the more likely you are to be placed in a higher league tier.
• LEAGUE REGISTRATION FOR ALL PLAYERS WILL CLOSE ON JULY 31st.​

Returning Players

• Returning players will have their league fees renewed in the month leading up to the new league year. LEAGUE FEES FOR ALL PLAYERS ARE DUE BY JULY 31st.
• Players who choose to sit out of a year or deny their invitation to play in the following year will have to restart their RFL journey at the lowest available tier if they choose to return later on.

Points System

• ESPN Standard PPR Scoring​
• EXCEPTION: Tight End Premium (TEs get 1.5 points per reception)​

League Median

• Each week, teams in the top 6 points scored for the week will receive an extra win, and teams in the bottom 6 points scored for the week will receive a loss.​
• This function does not operate during the playoffs.

Vetoes

• Managers within RFL leagues have no power to veto trades.
• The RFL Commissioner may veto a trade if it is deemed to be unethical.​

Multi-Team Trades

• Muti-team trades are legal in any capacity.​
• Trades can be conducted between anywhere from 2-12 teams.

Draft Date

• Drafts for all leagues will take place on the same date. The league office will select this date, which will be set at least a month before the draft.

Draft Style

• Drafts will be in the SNAKE format.​
• Drafts will be in a slow draft format with 12 hours per pick.
• The draft will pause from 10 PM EST to 7 AM EST. Players can still be picked during this time.

Third Round Reversal

• The order of the draft will reverse at the end of the second round and stay that way for the remainder of the draft.​

Selection Order

• Selection order will be randomized and inputted into the Sleeper app at least 3 weeks before the draft date.​

Trading Draft Picks

• The trading of draft picks is strictly prohibited​

Divisions

• Each league will contain one large division. Every team within the league will play each other at least once per season.​

Trade Deadline

• The trade deadline will be on week 12 of the NFL season.​

Start

• The playoffs will start on week 14 of the NFL season.​
• Each round will be one week of the NFL season.

Teams

• The top 8 teams in the league will make the playoffs.​

Seeding

• Teams will be seeded by their overall record.
• Tiebreakers will be decided by the team with the most points for, then most points against, and then a coin flip.

Promotion

• The champion of each Tier 2+ league will be promoted to the league tier directly above theirs.​
• The top 3 teams within the BRONZE, SILVER, & GOLD leagues will be promoted to the league directly above theirs.
• Promotion can be denied.
• If promotion is denied, the promotion status will be passed to the next eligible player within that league.​

Relegation

• The bottom 3 teams in the Lombardi, Gold, and Silver leagues in each league will be relegated to the league directly below theirs.​
• The bottom 4 teams in Tier 2+ leagues (teams who miss the playoffs) will be relegated to the league directly below theirs.​
• Teams who are relegated from the BRONZE league and all tiers below will be split into the 4 leagues directly below them.
• Relegation cannot be denied.

• All players are required to compete to win every game of every season in which they participate. If any player is found to be teaming with other players, participating in unethical trades to stack teams, intentionally losing games to aid other teams, promises for future league competition, or any other form of cheating, they will be removed from the league immediately, banned for a full season, and if reinstated, will begin at the lowest tier available.​
• The RFL Commissioner and the RFL reserve the right to remove or ban any player at any time that they see fit.
